This Dream, its not real
All this tears all this pain
all our efforts, went down in vain
wake me up, I don't want to let you go
I want to see you, first thing I wake up
Curled up a snake in between our legs
Waking up with the alarm, stretching those 3 out you run
Demanding the Kibbles with your morning mews
Don't stop brushing past me
you have to mark myself as yours
pass me your scent as a sign of trust
one that you chose along with 4 others in this world
Hearing those bells, I know you are safe
Catching a moth or a Lizards tail
Busy running from south to North
Minding some business, important as hell
To see you sleep, gives a shot of endorphin
waking up, yawning those tiny jaws 180
slow blinking the big black dreamy eyes, to say that you love me
and a slow purr to know that we love you
Wish you could see the world
With the 5 of us in our Car
singing and shouting all the way
Mountains, Beaches or deserts, come what may
I wish I could make you a better hunter
for all I could teach was fingers and toes
not enough to face the bigger canines
falling prey to Nature's woes
Erase that Image of you lying there
Motionless and Still, left with a sudden gasp
For when I wake up, I know you will be there
Brushing and Mewing for New day up ahead
My heart melts everytime I read this
